Family-Cancelled Visits
We understand that life with a child or adult with disabilities can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel a scheduled visit, please notify us as soon as possible.
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more before a scheduled visit are free of charge.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled visit may be charged for the full visit duration, at the discretion of Respite Edmonton.
- Emerergency cancellations due to illness or safety concerns will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Worker-Cancelled Visits
If your matched worker is unable to attend a scheduled visit, we will make every effort to find a replacement from our pool of screened workers. If a replacement cannot be arranged, you will not be charged for that visit.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
Please contact us by phone at (587) 401-1053 or by email at info@respiteedmonton.ca as soon as you know you need to make a change. For after-hours urgent cancellations, leave a voicemail and we will respond at our earliest opportunity.
No-Show Policy
If a worker arrives for a scheduled visit and no one is home or available to receive care, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and charged accordingly. We will always attempt to contact you before leaving the premises.
