We may collect personal information including names, contact details (phone, email, address), emergency contacts, health or disability-related information necessary for care planning, funding details (e.g., FSCD or PDD program numbers), and payment information. We collect this information directly from you or, with your consent, from third parties such as caseworkers or healthcare providers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to provide respite care services, match families with appropriate workers, process payments, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, communicate with you about your care, and improve our services. We do not use personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected without obtaining additional consent.

4. Information Sharing

We share personal information only on a need-to-know basis with the respite workers matched to your family, and with funding program administrators where required for billing or reimbursement purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the safety of individuals.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or destruction. Access to personal information is restricted to authorized personnel and matched workers who have signed confidentiality agreements.

6. Retention and Destruction

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to meet legal requirements, or to resolve disputes. When no longer required, personal information is securely destroyed or anonymized in accordance with our records retention schedule.
