How It Works

Foster and kinship caregivers in Alberta may be eligible for monthly respite reimbursement through Children and Family Services, depending on their individual agreement and caseworker approval. This support is intended to help caregivers take the breaks they need to continue providing stable care.

Caregivers pay Respite Edmonton directly and may claim reimbursement through Children and Family Services. Your reimbursement may cover some or all of the cost; confirm eligibility, rates, and provider requirements with your caseworker before booking.

Respite Edmonton is a private respite care service — not a registered, approved, or contracted Children's Services provider. Foster and kinship caregivers may choose to use us where their caseworker confirms this fits their reimbursement arrangement.
